Starting a CTUL team
Interested in starting an Ultimate team at your school? CUC can help guide you through the organizational steps, and provide some assistance along the way. Below are some key resources that you may find helpful:
1. Helpful Startup Information. USA Ultimate (the national governing body of the sport), offers helpful organizing information, programs, and grants at its website. Click here to head to the USA Ultimate youth development page.
2. CTUL start-up grants. CUC is happy to provide seed money to start new teams in the state. Money may be used to cover transportation / field / insurance costs in your first year. For more details, please contact our CTUL Chair.
3. Scheduling Games. CTUL hosts an annual scheduling meeting in early January, where member teams may set up head-to-head matchups with each other, and also learn about various tournaments planned for the Spring.
4. CTUL Registration Requirements. CTUL teams must have all players registered with USA Ultimate in order to participate. This is a mandatory requirement for insurance purposes. To register your players, please head to www.usaultimate.org.
